Tribute to Dr. Amin Rathore
An admired physician, community leader, loving husband, and doting grandparent
Dr. Aminuddin Rathore, aged 78, passed away with his family by his side on
March 25, 2016 after succumbing to a brave battle with pancreatic cancer at the
Brigham and Women's Hospital / Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston.
Dr. Rathore was a graduate of King Edward Medical College, a respected urologist
who practiced at the Nashoba Valley Medical Center in Ayer, MA for over three
decades before his retirement four years ago. Remembered by former colleagues
and patients as a physician and friend who displayed the highest level of care and
compassion to others, Amin’s shrewd and pragmatic character will be sorely missed.
Dr. Rathore was an APPNE member since its conception. He was always present at
all APPNE meetings and had valuable contributions to the cause of APPNE. He
was a community leader and soldier. His contribution to the Pakistani community
of the greater Boston area was unparalleled.
We remember him with pride and it was an honor to work with him in APPNE
