On October 8, 2005, a major earthquake hit Pakistan, severely damaging
The Ayoub Teaching Hospital in Abbottabad. Now, a container is loaded with reconditioned equipment from various U.S. hospitals,
and then shipped to Pakistan. This is the result of nearly three years of effort by Rotary Clubs in Pakistan and Massachusetts,
by the staff of IMEC, as well as the Association of Pakistani Physicians in New England and all those donors of the equipment
and the funds to pay for the transportation.
